"STILL waiting on my order or an email response. I ordered 3/26/12. I literally live less than an hour away from this shop and have even done customer pickups before. I have never had a problem until now. NO order, NO replies to my numerous emails. I make Easter candy every year and this is the first Easter my daughter is old enough to actually eat it and I can't even make it now. You have ruined my holiday. "Hello, I placed an order with custom chocolate shop on March 15th and had not recieved my order. My order was time sensitive because I needed for my son's birthday party on the 25th of March. Needless to say, I did not recieve my order and got the same automatated response that you guys recieved. This angered me because if she was really closed, then she should not take anymore orders and people's money. I could have taken my bussiness elsewhere. That was very dishonest and unprofessional of her, and her automated response was rude. Which gives an insight into her personal character. I found it funny that I recieved a full refund from paypal the day after the party which I specifically specified in my email, which gave me the assumption that it was done on purpose. Futhermore, how come she doesn't have a number where she can be reached on her website? And where does it say on her website that she is closed? Stop taken advantage of people and shut down! I would not recommend her company to anyone ever!"
"Had I read these reviews first I would have never placed an order with this company. same problem for me. Order placed 3-12-12 - auto response to my emails - no items insight and it is now the beginning of April. Whomever this owner is should stop taking orders, close down the site and fill all the back orders that have not been filled. Too bad - looks like really cute stuff on the site - needed my order by now, don't have a clue to when its coming and no way to find out. Any new suggestions out there?"
"Hello, I too placed an order with the company on 22nd feb, I didnt recieve any email saying that they had closed at any time. After my 7th email, I recieved the same automated response as many of you have had. I havent recieved my order and im going to take it to dispute with paypal, hopefully if we all do this they at least wont be able to use them again, thus reducing the amount of customers they rip off. Id love to know if any of you have actually recieved your orders. I lokked on the website and have seen no notice on there to say they are back logged with orders and can not take any further orders. Are they highly unprofessional or crooks ????"
"add me to the list...i placed an order on January 23..waited 3 weeks and no products...emailed many times with nothing but excuses or no response at all..last email from them said they have thousands of emails to respond to... yet you can go on their web site today and order products..isn't this fraud..a business in town could never operate like this...i have submitted a complaint to BBB but when i went on their website someone else complained and they did not respond to the BBB so that was the end of it...i do not want this to happen to anyone else...help.."
"I cannot agree more with Lorac and Lulu. Custom Chocolate Shop has the WORST business ethics and the WORST customer service. There is no phone number to contact them and only email. I placed my order on 2/15/12, prepaid through PayPal. The email receipt of the order (mind you, no details of orders on the email receipt) said the order will be shipped out within 1-3 days of the order date. Well nothing was in sight. I emailed on 2/28/12 and got a response saying they had forgotten to mail out the order. Would I want to cancel or ship? Of course I wanted it shipped since I already paid for it. No word nor sight of the order. On 3/4/12 I emailed again to inquire about the status of my order and I get this automated response from yahoo saying that the shop will be closed Mar.1-5. So on 3/6/12 I emailed again, and again got an automated response that the shop is closed Mar.1-7. This is so ridiculous. What kind of person operates a business like that? No courtesy to respond to customer inquiries. 3/8/12 I emailed again and this time I demanded a full refund of my money that was paid for an order that never got shipped out. Still no response. So I contacted the BBB to lodge a complaint and PayPal to dispute the transaction for non-shipment. This amounts to FRAUD for someone accepting orders and payment upfront but failing to deliver. Plus no communication. I wonder how many people out there got scammed by her???? If she is closed so many days and is not able to fulfill the orders, she should just SHUT DOWN her business or at least not accept any more orders online till she is caught up. I still smell a rat here. No LEGITIMATE business would be so unscrupulous!!!! Everyone should know of this scammer and NOT purchase from her!!! UNBELIEVEABLE!!!"
"Terrible, terrible customer service! I should have been suspicious since the website only had an email address and no phone contact for customer service. After placing an order with no delivery date information and sending three email requests for information (the first email generated an auto reply that the company was closed from March 1-7, the second email, no response, and the third email, this auto response "As many of you already know we have been closed on and off for quite some time. We have thousands of emails and orders that need to be answered/shipped. If you have an order that needs to be cancelled please respond to this email with the CANCEL in the subject heading"), I realized I would likely never see my order. This company should NOT be accepting any new orders until they get their affairs in order! Completely unprofessional!"
"Horrible service. After sending 2 emails, I got a response that our order has been forgotten to be shipped out. The customer service was unapologetic and responded with "we are human and make mistakes"Terrible Service"
