User fees exorbitant
"I purchased 7 tickets for my family to see a $5 Tuesday movie. It ended up costing me $47.88 out of my $50 gift card. I threw the card with the remaining balance away since it wouldn't be any good to me the next time I use it (all the money left would go to fees anyway). That's a 30% upcharge. I will NEVER use Fandango again!"
Never received tickets
"I purchased tickets for a movie I had to chaperone last minute but never received the confirmation email and had to purchased them again at the theater. I talked to their costumer service and instead of helping kept copy pasting the same response and then logged out"

"They are scammers! I made a mistake in ordering tickets for AFTER a movie started and within five minutes got in touch with customer service and they would not refund my money, even having the ability to see when I purchased the ticket. No other options given either, such as allowing me a credit. Never again."

Do NOT send as a gift
"I got a Fandango gift card which I was not too happy about because I had problems with one years ago. First you have to enter this 30 digit code to use it. Then I get an error and have to re-enter everything. Then I get a 3rd error but now it says my code was already used. After entering a 4th time I figure out I have to remove the code to continue. It too WAY too LONG and DIFFICULT. Then I have to pay $6 in fees. The movie was only $24 and then a 25% fee!!! I got one years ago and tried to use it at the theater and after all the problems I ended up paying with my credit card. I gave it to someone else who actually wanted it. "

Horrible unresponsive customer service
"I ordered a movie poster from their Fandango online store for a birthday present. Two weeks later, it still had not shipped, and it was going to arrive too late for the party, so I emailed customer service to cancel the order. They did not respond to any of my emails, but they did finally ship the poster two weeks later (a MONTH after I ordered it). Now I'm stuck with a movie poster I don't want, they still never responded to any of my emails, and I'm not about to spend more of my own money to send the poster back to them. I recommend never buying from this store. Given my experience and the experience of dozens of others here, you should definitely be warned!!!"
Customer service representative gave incorrect information, Fandango refused to fix
"Had two tickets for a movie Friday night and decided to reschedule. Fandango website was down for maintenance. Called customer support who told me she can't process the exchange immediately because the system was down but assured me that she would put in the request and I would be able to use the tickets again. 2 days later they emailed me and said this was not possible and refused to stand by what their agent said."

"It was my husbands birthday so we used a gift card to go take our daughter to watch a movie. We had the wrong move theaters so they couldn't do anything to accommodate us. So not only did we lost out on time, gas and never the less we had a two year old crying because she wanted to watch the emoji movie.Fandango is a waist of time and money. They need to send there employee's back to a training class because they are so rude. Don't waist your time go straight to the box office. "
Do NOT use this company!
"7/9/17I used Fandango to purchase tickets to a movie because I had a coupon code for $5 off. My total showed the tickets plus the "convenience fee" minus the $5 coupon. I purchased the tickets but when I received my emailed receipt, the $5 had not been subtracted. I didn't have time to call customer service, so I emailed them instead. I didn't receive a response for over 48 hours. By this time, I had already used the tickets. I was told that they couldn't credit a completed order and they couldn't give me a refund because I had already used the tickets. They refused to resolve the issue. Their customer service is a joke and they are a bunch of crooks. Do not use this company under any circumstances!"
"Don't bother trying to contact Fandango. They won't help you. Their go to line is that They are doing updates. They won't admit that they are having issues. All that they would say is that they will email you once their "updates" are complete. Seriously?! If in fact there were updates, Why wouldn't they inform their customer base Before the updates so that we would be able to make other arrangements? I'll tell you why. If they admit to having technical issues then they would have to compensate their customers for the inconvenience. And if they did contact their customer base before they did their updates, they would take the chance of losing business and they wouldn't want to Lose money for their investors. Which seems to be a lot more important then the customers. We're better off forgetting Fandango "The middleman" and going directly to the source to purchase our tickets for a movie. "
Charged me twice, DID NOT DELIVER, customer service a joke
"Ordered movie tickets online. Was charged and then error message. Called their support and was told was not charged but was just an authorization and would not go through. Attempted to buy tickets a second time, was charged again, no tickets. Needless to say the charges appeared on my next statement. Attempted to resolve with Fandango but fell on empty ears. Finally disputed with paypal and over three weeks later got a refund. Will certainly never use their service again!"
