"I ordered a blue camera off this site and they sent me a black camera so I complained I was unsatified so they said send the camera back and they would send out the right one so I did that very same day. A week later I called them and they said I sent them an empty box. I am in the process of disputing the charge with my credit card comapny (it been going on for 3 months and Bank of America is useless and seems to be favoring him so cancel your cards if you have Bank of America)."

"I ordered a camera online, because they had the lowest price listed. Next, I received an email from them requesting that I call to confirm my order. When I called, first they tried to sell me additional memory for the camera at an inflated price. When I declined they tried to sell me a larger battery at an inflated price. Each time I declined, they offered the extra item at a lower price. Finally after I declined all extras, they told me the camera I was purchasing was not available in the color I wanted. I told them I would take any color they had, it did not matter. I was hung up on. I called back thinking we had been cut off. I was told my order had been cancelled. Good Guys Photo only wants to sell you a new camera if you by their overpriced accessories."
"I ordered a camera on line from this store. They called me the following Monday, to confirm the order, and wanted to "upsell" batteries, lenses, and 3 or 5 year warranties. I agreed to purchase a set of rechargable batteries, but nothing else. I was not given a new total for my order! When I was adamant about not wanting anything else, including faster (more expensive) shipping, the salesman disgustedly said "you should get your camera in 3 or 4 weeks." I sent email on 11/3/07 asking for the new total of my order, and didn't get any response. I called back on 11/14, and was told the camera would still be 3 or 4 weeks, although the gift package deal would ship out immediately ($369 instead of $279.) Meanwhile, these jokers have my credit card number on file, which makes me very nervous. They haven't charged me for the camera yet. I guess I'll be sending email to the Better Business Bureau too.Don't believe their prices."
"I wish I had read the below comments before ordering. I purchased a Panasonic camera online. A day or two later, I receive a call from the verification department. It took me 10 minutes get across to them that I did not need extra lenses or batteries. Five days later, I'm told that the item is back ordered and won't be shipped for 2-3 weeks. I promptly called them to cancel, but they took that opportunity to try to sell packages of the same camera for "only" $150 more. They told me they would cancel the order but I still have not received the conformation email (which they said I would receive right away). I'm waiting for a charge to show up on my credit card so I can turn them in for fraud.I fortunately did not lose any money, but they did waste a lot of my time. Do not do business with these guys. "
"THEY SCAM YOU. Their cameras are at a great price, really great. Then they tell you ALL ABOUT their packages. DON'T GET THEIR PACKAGES-they tell you they're throwing in a 'high-quality UV filter', and say that it is $50 retail, but when you get it for $20(oh, what a deal!) you see that it is actually a Merkury Optics plain old filter and a THREE-PACK online anywhere is only $14. I would warn everyone of this place and only ever buy a camera from here. You can't return only the filter because if they say they're giving you a deal it means 'SPADA', Special Packaging and Discounts Applied, and in that event you must return the entire package together according to 'Terms and Conditions', plus a huge restocking fee. Also shipping took EIGHT WEEKS from when I ordered, they kept saying it was 'out of stock; it will ship in 2-3 weeks'. They also said that they'd upgrade my shipping speed since I had to wait so long but that didn't happen either; it was shipped UPS ground which they charged me $20 for which is even more bs because shipping a one-pound camera over six days does NOT cost $20. BOYCOTT GOODGUYS PHOTO. Save yourself the trouble!"
"same song, different verse..same story as other reviewers...place order, got call for fraud verification, "no,I do not want extras", "sorry, we are backordered-2 to 3 weeks", got the second b/o note..was trying to wait them out..but found camera at Vann's.com at same price, closer to me, free shipping AND their bundle was a terrific value compared to ggp..so, in my opinion..these new york stores are a FRAUD..."
"DO NOT ORDER FROM GOOD GUYS PHOTO! They scam you into buying a lower priced item and then call you to buy an overpriced "accessory" and when you decline...they send you an email 2-3 wks later and say it is on back order...then 2-3 weeks later they send you another email saying it is still on back order until you cancel your order. They are NOT "good guys"....if I knew how to report this scam...I WOULD!! Buyers Beware!!!"
"I ordered a FinePix S9100 from the company. They offered a great price. After placing the order I received an email to contact the Verification department, which I did. They tried to sell me some additional items, which I rejected, then they told me that the item would ship in 2 to 3 weeks. Three weeks later I contacted them again about the camera - they said that they could not fill my order yet and that it would be another 2 to 3 weeks. I went to their webb site and saw that they were still advertising the same camera, albeit at a slightly higher price. I realized that they were stringing me along with no intention of filling my order until the camera was obsolete. I cancelled the order after waiting on hold for 10 to 15 minutes. I believe that this company operates with poor ethics, and will do no further business with them. They do not keep their word and operate a dishonest web site."
"Do not buy from them, they are classic NY scammers. I ordered a canon Powershot TX1 online, they called the next day to confirm and sell me overpriced accessories which I declined. They said it would go right out. Three days later I got an email stating it was on backorder. I called back nearly 2 wks later and asked to speak to a salesman as I was interested in the canon TX1, I asked if it was in stock, the salesman said yes, I replied so why has my order been in backorder if you have it in stock. He responded oh it’s out of stock again. He estimated they would not get stock for 5 weeks. I canceled my order. Their web page showed the product was in stock the entire time. Please don't waste your time with these losers."
