Not happy with refund policy
"Previously I used to be refunded in Groupon bucks when I couldn't use the Groupon for any reason. Now I have to trade it in for another deal within a short time. This is not a good policy. "

Neat Deals, but Hard to Get Help with Issue
"I like the deals, but when my account mysteriously got de-activated, it took several attempts to get a human to respond to my issue. The autoresponders were totally unrelated to my question and just frustrated me. I only had a small unused item, but the fact that an active account could just be deactivated for no reason and it was uncertain whether I could get help will give me pause to using much - especially for higher ticket items."
Don't make any mistakes when buying...no recourse
"I bought a series of pilates sessions thinking they were in my area (Groupon has always shown me things in my area). However, when I decided to use them, i found out they were based in the US. We live in Canada. I realize I should have looked closer, but I have never been directed to a "deal" in another country. I contacted Groupon and got the "read the fine print" line of response from them. They took no responsibility for advertising deals in another country. Not good customer treatment, to say the least. "

"I recently had an issue with a Groupon that I had purchased a little while back. This issue was with the company for which I bought the Groupon for, not with Groupon itself. I contacted Groupon and I couldn't believe the service that I was provided with. It was definitely beyond my expectations. The entire experience was a positive one. I haven't had any issues that I can recall other than this one. I will continue to be a Groupon user and feel that I am in good hands with their customer service. Thank you Groupon."

Bad Customer Service
"I ended up with two Groupons for the same company. I contacted Groupon via chat to find out my best option. The agent was nice but not patient. I inquired about canceling and whether or not I could use the extra Groupon as a credit. She explained how Groupon bucks work, then before I know it, she canceled my order which was also my Mother’s Day gift. I was very upset and disappointed. I did not ask her to cancel my order, she went ahead and did her own thing as if she was being rushed! This was my first bad experience with Groupon, I’m usually satisfied with their services. "
"I had purchased a Groupon for carpet cleaning. I called to schedule the cleaning before my Groupon expired, but was told by the merchant that they did not have any appointment openings before my Goupon expired, therefore, they would be unable to honor it. I called Groupon and did an on line chat. Unfortunately, my computer was not cooperating and I got disconnected twice, before finishing the chat. Despite having to start over three times, each agent was very patient and helpful, and assured me that the merchant would be contacted by Groupon and they would try to make sure that I received the service I had paid for. Within only a few days, the merchant contacted me and requested that I call back to schedule my service. I called the merchant back and the service has been scheduled. Thanks Groupon and you excellent customer service agents! "

No Response from your vendor and little help from your on-line chat
"I have tried for over 2 weeks to get a response for a coupon for which I paid for - no answer/acknowledgement from the vendor. I contacted Groupon for help - and no additional help from them except to learn that I could apply my $150 purchase but had to do so within 24 hours. Am not happy with the services. "
"For several days I could not get a response from a hair stylist after I had purchased a service. I wanted to delete that purchase and try someone else with my funds. The on-line chat directions were hard to understand/follow for a novice like me. I finally figured it out on my own - somewhat. I was VERY surprised to see that I only had 24 hr. to rebook something else and still don't get what would have happened to my funds if I hadn't rebooked..."
Great customer service
"I brought a groupon, when I called the spa they gave me the appointment I wanted. Once I mentioned that it was a groupon , all of a sudden the receptionist did not realize that the day I picked was completely booked. I contacted groupon and spoke to a gentleman named Miguel he was able to help me , I did not get a refund but I was able to use the money I spent towards another purchase. That was enough for me."
