"Wrong size delivered. I tried to call customer service, but placed on hold indefinately. Finally they said to find my own packaging and return the item and they would charge me for the return postage and I have to wait 6-8 weeks for a refund. Are these guys serious? Whoever is running that company should be fired. They are 20 years behind the industry, it’s a miracle they are still in business at all. "

Will never be able to stay competitive
"Hanes.com has some great pricing on items that cost a lot elsewhere, but that said, their order fulfillment/shipping leaves a whole lot to be desired. People are used to fairly fast turnaround times when shopping online and good communication if/when an ordered item is out of stock. Hanes offers neither. Typically, an order takes about three weeks from start to finish (ordering/arrival...last order I placed was on 3/3, items shipped out on 3/17 and arrived on 3/23) and there is zero communication on out of stock items. In fact, the last order I placed was held because one item was out of stock. Good policy is to send the available items, then contact the customer to see if they wish to wait or cancel (I finally canceled but I see on my old order status, it still says "in process" even though my credit card was refunded). Hanes.com is going to have to step up their game if they don't want to continue to bleed revenue to other online retailers or brick and mortar discount stores."
Worse online shopping experience ever
"Place a order for a Champion hoody and sweatpants. My package wasn’t delivered until eight days later. When I opened the package it was not even close to what I ordered. Wrong brand, wrong gender, wrong size, and wrong color. I called customer service. I told them I wanted to return the items for a full refund. To my surprise the service rep told me that I would receive a full refund and to keep the merchandise , because it would cost me to return the items. She even told me to donate the items to charity and not to throw them away. A week later no refund. I called Hanes customer service and found there was no record of my previous phone conversation with the customer service rep. No info pertaining my refund. I told the service rep about my previous conversation with the other rep. She said very rudely she shouldn’t have told you that. That’s not what we do. That I should have known to look on the bottom of the package for a return shipment slip. That I had to return the items back to Haynes to get a full refund. Mind you I gave the hoody to my sister. The sweatpants were in the laundry and I no longer had the original package. I completely lost it and asked to speak with her supervisor. She puts me on hold. Them comes back on the line and says you’ll get your refund in 3 days. I angrily hung up and call right back to get her nane. I told the customer service rep who btw was a very nice my story and once again there was no record of a refund. This rep was kind enough to put my refund in. I received a full refund on in like 2 mins on my PayPal account. I will never never ever ever never shop online with hanes again. "
Terrible shipping and customer service
"Ordered something very simple. Took 3 days to process and another 7 to ship and arrive! Are you kidding me??? On the morning of third day when it had not shipped yet, I was told I could not cancel it! Really?? They can't process it but somehow I have to pay to return it?!? DO NOT ORDER FROM THEM! I tried to give a retailer a chance, but OMG... go with Amazon!"

"Ordered a sweater, never said anything about back order. Site promised item would ship in 3-5 days. Never received item and today received an email saying my order is cancelled nearly 30 days after. HIGH DISAPPOINTED. LAME! "
Return process is slower than a snail.
"I ordered from this site for the first time January 8, 2018, returned them January 10, 2018. I still have not received the credit to my account! The tracking shows it as still in process! Shipping charges are high and you have to pay return shipping also. I know we get spoiled with Amazon Prime, but I will no longer shop at Hanes. I have now found many of the same items on Amazon, guess I should have checked there first."
"We ordered some pants on December 23rd, 2017 and received absolutely no communication from Hanes. When I called to check on the status of the order (02/02/2018), I was informed that the order was canceled and an email was sent. I just checked my spam folder and what do you know - no email whatsoever. Stay away from Hanes, Champion, College Apparel, Just My Size, and Onehanesplace."

"Ordered on Jan 12, 2018. On Jan 22, still no product here or on the way. Sent an email and they said it would be here on Jan 26. It is now the 28th and still nothing. If I ordered the same thing on Amazon it would have cost $2.00 more, but it would have been here in two days. Now supposedly half my order is on the way, but the other half is on backorder. Sent another email asking them to cancel my order, but they said they could not. Told them to cancel the half that has not been shipped, but they said no, it would have to ship when in stock and I would have to return it. First and last time I will ever order from Hanes.comGK "
screwed me over!
"I have been dealing with this situation for about a month now. I ordered two sweaters from them and only received one in the mail, my bank statement had minus 97$ from my account. When I had cancelled the order from the 2nd sweater I didn’t receive the lady told me it would take 15 days for my money to go back in my account (48$) it has been 16 days AND NOTHING. I called again and the lady was being super rude saying “we don’t charge unless the item has shipped” but it clearly says that 97$ was taken from my account. At this point I feel as if they don’t know what excuse to make up. I know that 48$ isn’t much but I feel violated, this isn’t fair at all!"

"I had to cancel an order as the order confirmation took almost TWO WEEKS to send - not the tracking confirmation, the confirmation of my order which normally takes a few minutes, and so I looked elsewhere. I cancelled the order from Hanes, and thinking that they would have done what any half decent company would and cancelled it - low and behold, a month later, it turns up on my doorstep, leaving me with the shipping costs to return it to the US from Europe. I am disgusted. "
"The wait times for phone calls are over 45 minutes. The service is good once I get someone on the phone but if they are that busy to where customers are waiting that long for an answer they should hire more people."
