"I had my heart sold on this obscure designer furniture made by Polar art and Homethangs.com was the only 1 out of 2 companies that sold it and shipped it. First I was surprised at the huge selection of this designer and the price, which was cheaper than I thought. The furniture needed to be custom made and shipped to me in 7 weeks for my wedding, oh and it was 2 couches, a bar, 2 bar chairs and 2 big king/queen chairs, so no small order either. Customer service answered quickly! All my questions! Checked with manufacture and guaranteed it would be there in 7 weeks. They gave me a tracking number 6 weeks later and my beautiful furniture was there with time to spare! I couldn't be more pleased! I would invite them to the wedding if they were close enough! "I ordered 2 set of shower head from another website and waited for weeks without any response from them and when I called they can't give me a straight answer, all i got from them is "unable to reach the manufacturer". I got really mad with them and decided to look for it else where and am so glad that I found homethangs.com. I ordered the same items online at a lower price and received a call from them seconds after I placed the order to inform me that the item is out of stock everywhere in US and gave me an estimated date I will receive my shower head. Paul responded to my email promptly and updates me on my order status. The shower head arrived on time!"

"I spent a lot of time researching bathroom vanities, reading reviews and was very leery of making such a large purchase on line. I was also disturbed that basically all bathroom vanities are made in China, which isn't normally known for quality. I read complaints about cracking, warping wood, peeling paint and poor workmanship. Finally I discovered James Martin, what a relief. Though made in China, their products have been rated top in America five years in a row. James Martin uses American hardwoods that are seasoned in a kiln, the joints are dovetailed, the drawers and doors are soft closing, the painting/varnishing is done in nine separate steps. The marble tops are real Italian marble. I work with wood and people admire what I have made, so I have quite a bit of experience regarding what I was looking for, I bit the bullet and ordered their Brittany 72" vanity in mahogany. The sales person had 16 years of experience and was extremely helpful.Last week I got a call from the shipping company. Though the unit was well protected it got a modest scratch. I called James Martin and their rep told me to have it delivered, they would stand behind their product. I really liked that. It arrived and truly was very well protected. The scratch can be easily repaired, particularly since James Martin is sending me a repair kit. What service!There is something else you should know. James Martin vanities are sold by second party distributors and they don't always get the description right. I was expecting a fully assembled unit that weighed 420 lbs. Imagine trying to maneuver that down a narrow hallway, it was almost a deal breaker. In fact, the vanity comes in two packages, the fully assembled vanity weighs only 220 pounds, which was rather easy for my son and daughter's boyfriend to manage. The marble top with sinks is a separate 200 pounds. I couldn't be happier. This is a high quality piece of furniture and my wife loves it. I know it costs more than their competitors, but its the difference between an economy car and a luxury model at a fraction of the cost. I am totally pleased with my purchase. I am a James Martin customer for life."
Great Prices, fast delivery
"When I placed my order for a bathroom vanity, I was short of time, because I had my contractor scheduled in two weeks. I called customer service and they told me that my vanity was in stock, and it should ship within 3-4 business days, and it would take about 7 more days to delivery. I really appreciate that the representative was honest with me saying that delays do happen once in a while, due to weather conditions or problems with a truck in a shipping company, because things happen on the road, (and it is understandable) so there is no 100% guarantee. But although I was nervous it might not make it on time, I took my chances, and I also talked to my contractor to make sure we have a way to deal with this in case it comes a little late. But at the end it came in even sooner than expected, how great was that! They were updating me with my order status every time I called, I am very happy with how my order was handled and my concerns addressed. The person I talked to was very nice, and pleasant to talk to. Besides that, price at Homethangs was the best I could find online. Now the vanity has been installed, and looks like million bucks! "

"I ordered a James Martin vanity from Home Thangs. The stone top was an option and was pictured as a cream color that matched the tile and floor I had purchased for my new bathroom. When the vanity arrived the counter was yellow and not cream in color. I called and was told it is a '"olor variation" as the disclaimer states on the website. I was told I could return the $1060.00 top for shipping both ways ($600.00) and a 25% restocking fee. They refused to do an exchange and share the shipping expense. Their resolution was that I should sell it or donate it. However, I am not even able to give it away and will likely need to pay to dispose of it. "

It is always dangerous to try and match a natural stone top online with your tile or any other color you are looking to match. There are 2 reasons for that:1. Different screens offer slightly different color values, and you can never rely on a picture on your screen to be 100% color accurate, always assume it is going to be a little bit off in color in real life.2. Any kind of natural stone is known for it's color variations across different slabs. No matter which type of natural stone you choose, you will always see that slabs of same type will vary in color, sometimes even drastically, this is the way nature works, and it is beyond anyone's control, unfortunately. For this specific reason it makes no sense to replace the top with the same kind, because we have no way of knowing if another one will match your tile or not, most likely it will not. Our suggestion for cases like this is if you have to match a specific color, you should not purchase natural stone tops online, rather go to any local granite or marble yard with a sample of your tile, and have the top custom made out of the specific slab you personally pick, this is the only way to ensure the result you are looking for. Our policies are nothing of unusual, they are industry standard, we do realize it is pricey to have a big and heavy item like that returned, that is why we are here to answer any of your questions prior to you making a purchase, and the policies are available on our website for everyone to see. "This was my second order with HomeThangs now, after ordering a good amount of tile for my vacation house in Florida last year, I now ordered backsplash tile for my permanent home and just like last time I am absolutely satisfied with the choice. My wife found it on their website and she really loves it. After having some poor experience with other online retailer I feel much more confident shopping at homethangs, because there is always someone qualified there to answer my questions. I find it very easy to deal with them, every time I order I get a custom discount coupon which allows me to save some money on my tile projects. Horrible Customer Service and Ridiculous Return Policy
"This company sells building materials and refuses to support a reasonable window on returns. Our project was delayed as many home projects are and when we opened the inset we ordered to begin the backsplash job, it did not resemble the site photos or description. Buyer beware if you purchase anything from them as you are likely to be out a significant amount of money with no ability to return items that are not as described. "
“Homethangs supports a reasonable window of returns - 30 days. 3 months is not a reasonable window of return, we cannot accept returns after 3 months, just like most other stores. Our return policy is available on our website for anyone to read, and it is there on the checkout page, to make sure it not overlooked. The item is actually as described and as pictured, but we cannot be responsible what kind of screen the picture was viewed at, we've had hundreds of other customers who purchased it recently and are happy with what they've got, this is the only complain. Anyways, we have no problem accepting the item back, we understand if a customer doesn't like it, but there is a reasonable policy that we ask to follow - 30 days is a reasonable time to check the item and make sure it matches the expectations. ”
