"I had the pleasure of advising my son on the purchase of an engagement ring for his fiance. After looking at over 20 different internet sites (some in UK and Israel, mostly US), we settled on JewelryCentral.com and he is very glad we did. Internet diamonds from good sellers offer more for your money we found after looking also at mall jewelers. JC Store Customer Service was excellent. They actually call you back if you have to leave a message (once within 5 minutes), and e-mails are promptly answered with courtesy and complete information. My son decided to go the "Design Your Own" ring path. The first loose diamond he chose had been sold. Jewelry Central made suggestions for an alternative diamond, without trying to push up the budget. Much appreciated. In the end he chose a .36 carat, D, VSI Ideal cut (GIA Ex with cert dated Jan 2010), HCA score 1.8 in an 18ct white gold trellis setting.He asked for a rush to be put on the order. JC Store said they could not compromise quality to rush the bulding of the ring. We appreciated that demonstration of commitment to quality. In the end it did ship two business days sooner than anticipated, and overnight (free for built rings).The ring is stunning! Absolutely gorgeous! My son came to the house to collect it, and when he saw it he was very happy with it. The diamond flashed and sparkled with fire and brilliance like a fireball. My son's fiance just loves it, she shrieked and jumped up and down at the sight of it. She told me she would have said yes if he had given her a crackerjack ring, because she loves him. But her delight was obvious and intense and the ring looks incredible on her finger. All I can say is, I thoroughly recommend Jewelry Central for quality, selection, price, processing and just plain WOW factor!. The 30 day return includes one re-setting/change for free. "I just made an engagement ring purchase with Jewelry Central over the internet. I purchased the ring on Monday needing it by Thursday of the same week (flying on Friday to Canada to get engaged). When I found out on Tuesday the ring would not ship in time (delay was with manufacturer), I called the customer service rep. He was so helpful and came up with a solution to the problem He was able to get my ring to me the next day, even shipped my ring with overnight shipping with no additional charge. The ring is beautiful and I am sure my girlfriend will love it. It is better quality than many rings I have looked at in local jewelry stores at half the price. "My experience was quite the opposite of the previous reviewer. I have purchased several times and have been well satisfied with the speed of shipping, the merchandise quality, and most importantly (to me), the prompt response to my questions.Last year before my wife's birthday, she lost a nice bracelet I had purchased from Jewelery Central, and so I purchased another one as a replacement. I gave it to her, she was delighted to have it, and about 2 1/2 months later, she found the original. I thought, what the heck, I'll ask the store if they'd take the other back and so I emailed them. I'll admit that when I didn't hear from them the next day I was figuring that this was their way of letting me know that no, you can't wait forever to return an item. But the following morning I got a reply from Amy telling me that they'd be happy to issue me a store credit.So great, I thought, and we sent it back and when they got it, sure enough, they sent a confirmation that they'd received it and we had a full credit for the entire purchase which surprised me (I buy a lot of items online, and am always expecting to be hit with undisclosed "restocking fees" and such).Anyway, we picked something out, I ordered it and when it arrived it was as nice as it looked on the site. Being a skeptic, I waited for the next two credit card statements and never saw a charge so I relaxed a little bit (but not completely). Out of the blue, I received a phone call from Charlie in customer service informing me that Jewelry Central had been bought by another company. They were going through their records and came upon my file and this review; or perhaps vice versa, I'm not sure.At any rate, they offered to complete my refund and promptly sent me a check in the mail. I was completely pleased and surprised by this, and was grateful that someone there was trying to make up for a past mistake.I trust the new owners to put more attention to customer service and believe they deserve a second chance. Thanks go out to Charlie and the rest of the customer service team for making things right after all these years.My ranking will be revised to a neutral 3/5.=======Original review:Summary:1) They promised same-day shipping via FedEx. Based upon the date they charged my credit card and the delivery date, I believe they shipped on the 10th day via USPS.2) I requested a cancel if they couldn’t ship by the 5th day.
