"Avoid al all costs. Terrible customer service and returns!!!!It’s been a nightmare returning our item and Overtons could careless!!!They keep saying our return dept is backed up. Then they say, oh, we sent you the return label.Liars!!!!Now, we play there waiting game to resend it. "
Horrible experience, avoid at all costs
"I placed an order on an item identified as being in stock. I called to verify that it was in stock, placed the order and never received a shipping confirmation. I called a few days later and was told it was back ordered for 1-2 weeks. Later I received an email stating they were no longer getting the item and my order was cancelled. Wish I had read the other reviews first."
"I ordered a 10 x 26 inflatable boat buoy and I had not heard anything in a week..so I called and it was not going to ship for 15 to 20 days!!! Then I find out after a 15% off and an additional Sams Club 10% off that the price was way high. Then I tell them to cancel the order and they tell me they have to send a email to the supplier to see if it can be canceled !!!!"
Custom Fit Boat Cover Did NOT Fit - NO Returns or Refunds
"I bought a supposedly custom-fit boat cover from Overton's online. I spoke with a customer service representative who helped me select it to make sure it would fit. It didn't. I contacted Overton's and was told that it could not be returned and I could not get a refund. Total waste of money. I will never buy from them again."
Waste of time and dishonest
"Ordered fenders for a new boat (they were in stock ). Paid extra to have them delivered in time and they didn’t arrive. Called company they are out of stock. ( not what my order confirmation said ) They refused to refund the shipping. Went on line Bass Pro has same items and cheaper. AVOID OVERTONS AT ALL COST. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE !!!!!! "
"placed order online and went on backorder the next day. A WEEK later 2 more items went on backorder. Of 5 items ordered, 4 were backordered. Had I known that, I would never have ordered. Then you call after a week and it takes another 3 days to get credit. Terrible customer service"
"I purchased a car horn from Overton’s. Paid to have it professionally installed and it did not work. Overton’s refused to reimburse me the almost $200.00 I paid for the installation. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS HORRIBLE COMPANY!!!!! They will take your money and not stand behind their merchandise."

Order not processed
"I paced an order on January 3rd for a ice shanty that was in stock. It said it would ship 5-7 days. I received a email the next day to call and confirm that it was myself who placed the order as I had it set up to go to a different shipping address. I thought that was great that they were looking out for their customers. After 7 days went by I called to find out where my order was and they stated that it comes directly from the vendor and I should receive a tracking information within a couple of days from them, if not call again. I waited a few days and called which at that point I was told they would look into it and contact me within 48 hours. 72 hours later, I received a email stating, "Hello, Thank you for your recent order. This email is to inform you that there was an issue with your order for item 1482XXX. We are working on getting this corrected, but at this time your order has not processed. We apologize for any inconvenience. We will pass along any new information regarding your order as we have it. Again, we apologize for the trouble this has caused you. If you have any additional questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us at the number provided above. Again, thank you for choosing Overton’s and I hope you have a great day!" I replied with an email expressing my frustrations and this was the next email I received. "Hello, Unfortunately there is not ETA as to when the issue will be resolved. Our system is just not processing these items over to the vendor. Until the issue gets resolved it will not be shipped. Our system charges you as soon as the order is placed, which is why you have a charge. We can definitely request expedited shipping, but not until the issue is resolved. You may cancel at any time if you choose to do so. Thank you, Colton B." So basically my order was placed 30 days ago, they took the money out of my account the moment it was placed and now it is 30 days later to which I have not heard any more information. As of 2/6/18, I now received an email that my order was cancelled as the item is not available. Great company."
Camping World Acquisition = Horrible Experience- Gander Mountain/Outdoors May Be Next!
"Order an ice fishing jacket listed as in-stock and ready to ship from the manufacturer on January 14. Order was placed, e-mail confirmation was received, and credit card was charged. First, I found it odd that in today's day and age, there is no order status feature available online. The only "benefit" to having an online account is the storage of your shipping address. Wow, welcome to 1996. After 10 days, I had not received an e-mail confirmation of the shipment of my order, so I contacted Overton's via e-mail. The customer service response was, "Thank you for your recent email. I will be happy to help. I apologize, for any inconvenience this may have caused you. Your order ships directly from the vendor in 7-10 business days. I show your order is within the lead time to ship from the vendor. You will receive an email confirmation when your order ships out which will contain tracking. Again, I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you."So, I waited until 12 business days had passed as I still had not received an e-mail that the jacket had shipped. The e-mail response to my inquiry was, "Thank you for your recent order. This email is to inform you that there was an issue with your order for item 209352. We are working on getting this corrected, but at this time your order has not processed. We apologize for any inconvenience. We will pass along any new information regarding your order as we have it. Again, we apologize for the trouble this has caused you. "So, it took them 0 days to charge my card, but 12 business days to realize there was an "issue" with my order. I will see how long this plays out, but would not recommend Overton's under their new corporate ownership to anyone. Camping World took them over in mid-2017 and before that, I received great service. Since Camping World now is re-opening the former Gander Mountain stores under the Gander Outdoors name, we can only hope that they improve their online service for that new store as well! "
This is my first and my last time buying anything from this company.

"On November 27th I ordered a Hyperlite Wakeboard for my 8 year old son as he learned to wakeboard last year and was excited to receive one for Christmas. I was expecting we would receive the wakeboard in early December and after making 5 phone calls to follow up on the tracking and being told 3 different times that it shipped (when it hadn’t) I learned yesterday (Dec 22nd) that the new arrival date was December 27th. This was unacceptable. I was transferred to an Alicia and after she spoke with a Steven, she called me back and said he agreed that they would split the overnight delivery charges with me to ensure the gift would arrive before Christmas which would be an additional $65 out of my pocket. This again is unacceptable. To say I am disappointed and angry would be an understatement. I have cancelled the order (out of principle now more than anything) and will never be doing business with their company again. Customer Service has and continues to decline and Overton’s did a great job of proving that during this Holiday Season. I look forward to sharing this story in the many different facets of social media and online. I hope Steven, Alicia and the entire crew over at Overton’s enjoys their Holidays. "
"I ordered a winch for my boat trailer shopped around other sites first thought over to was a reputable company I ordered a winch it took over 10 days to arrive it was cheap Chinese junk payed way to much for it hook to small to fit my boat eye and mounting brackets don't match up I placed a review on their site so no one else would get stung they didn't post review because it's negative there were no reviews for this item now I know it's probably because no one has been satisfied with product "
"Ordered a trailer step 10/9/17, on sale , with agreement of no charge to my card until item shipped. Advised by email 10/11/17 item would ship 10/13/17. No word from Overton's as of 10/26/17, so I emailed; got no response to email. Telephoned customer service 10/26/17; Overtons advised (paraphrasing) "we have a new system and all back ordered items were cancelled; . . .would you like to re-order?; . . .we can't ship until 11/30/17; . . you'll have to pay now in advance of shipping."I cancelled. Overtons obviously is experiencing problems with communicating, customer service and order fulfillment, beyond what they are revealing. "
"ordered a 3x life vest for 52-56 in chest..(im 54) and it wasn't even close ...they would not give me a call tag for free shipping to return...so I paid 27 bucks to send it back with the note as to the poor fit for what size it was supposed to be ...they sent me another the SAME SIZE .I called them and they said I had to pay again to send that one back to get credited.....THEY ****...I have bought alot of things from them over the years but no more...I'm DONE!!!!!!!"
