You pay for what you get
"I don't usually take the time to write web reviews, but some of the reviews here that refer to Amazon are unrealistic. Ordering glasses is never the quickest experience, especially when ordering quality product. Frames (sometimes) have to be ordered from the frame's company (I always need smaller sizes, which I've never found in stock any optical store), lenses have to be made and the final product must be inspected before being given to you. Would you expect to able to order a car with the exact customizations you'd like and have the keys in your hands in 48 hours like we've grown to expect from places like Amazon? No. Yes, there can be a short wait for the glasses to come in and lenses to be made, but I expect that for quality product. There is no other place I'd be able to get genuine (and high quality) Tom Ford frames at the price eyeglasses.com sells them at. Yes, their website is a little hard to navigate and could certainly be updated to match the flashy sites we've grown used to, but there's usually always someone available to answer questions and they've always been super responsive to questions I have. If you want something instantly, buy it in store at a higher price or buy a lesser quality knock-off product on Amazon."

"In Shrewsbury MA, there are a lot of people I know that use Eyeglasses.com, which is how I found out about it. My friends all use it so I gave it a try and was very impressed. It did take some time to educate myself about eyeglasses and how to buy lenses, but know that I know more, I know how to save money and not get ripped off either by the big chain stores, or by my eye doctor. And I can buy from a huge selection of brand names so its way better than the generic stuff you get at the cheap 2 for 1 places."

Best eyewear store I have tried
"There are advantages and disadvantages about buying eyeglasses online. Advantage is that there is a big selection; disadvantage is that you can't get them right away. I just got my third set of glasses from eyeglasses.com and it has always been a good experience for me. Good brands and good lens quality. Sometimes there is a delay but it is always worth it. I am a loyal customer especially as there are some shady stores out there and I don't want to mess with my eyes. Prices are half of retail stores, so it works for me."

Eyeglasses.com is the best eyewear store online by far
"I have been a customer of Eyeglasses.com for about 5, having tried all of the other ones. I wear glasses all day every day, and tend to be hard on them, so I keep a spare and break or scratch them pretty regularly. Other online stores either fall apart (like from the low price places), or they are just too expensive. Eyeglasses.com is a happy medium. They charge a lot less than a typical eyewear store, have a huge selection, and the lenses and frames have always been perfect. Sometimes I have to wait a bit longer but I always know I get a great product."
Horrible drop in quality
"I ordered frames from this retailer about five years ago with no real issues. I returned to order two frames with no lenses recently, this should be easy right? Wrong. Three weeks later and I received no communication from them regarding shipping or stock issues. After finally getting through to customer service via email, it turns out one pair was out of stock so they decided to ship NOTHING, without contacting me (they put the charge through too). I hadn't even replied to the email to give them further direction, because I'd decided to call and talk to a real person. Again, with no communication, they decided to ship one pair, without asking me if I'd be alright with receiving my 1 of 2 frames ONE MONTH LATER. How can this place survive with this sort of service? Amazon: please start selling frames. "
Bait & Switch- A Lying Company Based Upon The Wind
"I contacted Eyeglasses.com this 8th Day of February regarding replacement polarized (G-15) lenses as speaking with Stephanie. Stephanie clearly stated that the price would be $79.00 for G-15. As I made a decision, I called her back for payment options. At that time I was speaking with another female who said the lenses were $179.00 (Polarized G-15). I said Stephanie stated they were $79.00. I later spoke with Stephanie regarding the aforesaid issue and she said she made a mistake. This type of irresponsible management hopes to snare the unsuspecting. We would advise everyone not to conduct any business at Eyeglasses.com. In fact, any Optometrist or any local Eye Wear business can supply the lenses at a more reasonable cost.* I also included this review on trustpilot in which "Eyeglasses.com reported this review for breach of Trustpilot guidelines". In accompaniment, I have filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. Triton Eyewear, Inc. (Eyeglasses.Com) has clearly lied to me by providing false information, then retracting the facts. All information can be fully corroborated via audio recordings (Logged calls) to substantiate every word verbatim. The audio is available and has been documented for future reference. "
Customer Service is a major fail!
"Won't answer emails or return phone calls. After finally talking to someone, there was no apology, simply saying that someone will get back to me. After 5 days, I gave up and called my credit card company to reverse the charges. They made my lenses incorrectly and they kept popping out of my frame. After no response, I sent them back. I was willing to give them a second chance, but since they either don't care or are just run so poorly, I decided that the frustration was not worth it! Caveat Emptor! Buy local and save the stress!"
