Excellent Customer Service - Absolutely Above & Beyond

"At first, I'd wondered why my PC was in quality control for nearly a week. I e-mailed Customer Care and was assigned to Andrea as the one who'd be looking into this for me. She was great; always in touch and making sure everything's relayed to me. I wasn't expecting much in the way of compensation, but more like getting info. She surprised me by upgrading my shipping for free and assuring me a ship date.

She was laid-back and empathetic about what was going on. When I ran into an issue with FedEx (or should we say...FedUp, haha), I wrote her asking if they could have a location hold it. FedEx was zero help, but everything ended up being resolved and I'll be picking up my rig on Monday.

Andrea is one of the best workers there, and I can't thank her enough for being the line of sanity I needed during this whole situation. Give her some kind of a bonus or something, because she works her **** off and makes sure her customers are happy.

Amazing Laptop! Powering 6 screens

"I just bought an ibuypower laptop from Frys and am very happy with my purchase. This is my first time trying this brand but I am loving the computer. It is fast, boots up quick, and quiet. Best of all the video card can power 6 screens which is why I chose this one.
It works flawlessly.
Would recommend ibuypower to anyone looking for a solid computer.

Stroke of Bad Luck

"When I placed the order, I had some issues with my bank declining the charge because it was such a high dollar amount. I was able to take care of that problem within a few hours, but ibuypower customer service lacked in their department to help me out. It took them an additional 2 days to re-charge my card and get the order back on track. Even now that I have had my PC for about 5 months, it will shut down and turn back on very often when playing or launching games. That problem eludes me to believe that the PSU is failing or insufficient. I'm sure not everyone gets issues when buying PCs, but this was my first experience buying a pre-built gaming rig, as I usually piece everything together myself. "

Awful customer service

"I was very hopeful after spending over $1500 on a pc. Unfortunately this pc did not even last me 6 months before I had to send it in for a repair! The shipping for me to send it to them was quite expensive about $300 after paying to make sure it was properly packaged, for it to get there in a reasonable time so that the total process of repair and shipping back doesn’t take weeks (as recommended by the IBUYPOWER tech I spoke to), insurance on the shipping, etc. I contacted IBUYPOWER because I did not feel it was fair that I had to cover shipping to send it back to them when it was their fault for the malfunctioning pc in the first place. When I spend $1500+ on a pc I would expect it to last me longer then 6 months before becoming unusable. And I ya several other issues with it far before the 6 month mark when it totally wouldn’t even power up properly. Contacted a customer service manager and he basically told me that I was “unlucky” because most of their customers don’t have any issues at all. My point was that if most of your customers don’t have any issues then clearly there was a mistake made or something was wrong with the pc they built for me so then why should I have to pay for their mistake when I had done nothing to cause the pc to have issues. The manager never tried to understand where I was coming from or do anything what so ever to try and resolve the issue. I recognized that I choose for a faster and more secure shipping than what the standard is so I wasn’t even looking for them to cover the shipping completely. I would have been satisfied with them paying for a portion of shipping, a store credit, anything at all for them to just realize and take some responsibility or try anything to mediate the situation. The manager displayed awful customer service and continually repeated that I was just “unlucky.” I would highly recommend going to one of their competitors as hopefully they will display and give you better customer service. The bottom line is that $1500+ should give you more than 6 months of use and if it doesn’t the company SHOULD take responsibility for that without just chalking it up to bad luck and telling the customer they are out of luck! "

In the unfortunate event that something malfunctions we do offer a repair warranty however like most of our competitors the shipping from you to us is not covered. As our manager explained to you, we do offer our customer's 1 year coverage for the return shipping at the time of purchase for the low price of $19. The manager fully understood where you were coming from and wanted very badly to provide you with a shipping label to resolve your issue, however that would have been unfair to the thousands of customers that spent the $19 when they made the initial purchase. We are very sorry for your system malfunctioning but we could not be unfair to our other customers that paid $19 for the return shipping package.”

A Great Choice

"Despite my initial concerns about the reputation of iBP, I had a great experience from start to finish. The website was easy to use, the prices were reasonable. I had no customer service issues whatsoever and with the rush labor option, I had my new PC a week after ordering. It arrived very well packaged and everything worked out of the box. Couldn't be happier."
