"The parts arrived relatively fast, perfectly packaged and as described. The instructions found on iFixit page were precise and well presented so the repair of my iPhone 6 went without a hitch. Gonna definitely order again with great confidence."

"For one I had to switch the camera and headpiece module and that was not included in the screen replacement video. Shin on moving the plate from the old screen to the new screen was also missing from the video"
What a disappointment...
"In our Family, we use Apple products exclusively. We have old Macs and new Macs. We have iPod Classics. We have iPhones. We have iPads. Whatever there is, we have it. I've been getting these emails from iFixit. They're on a mission from God, they say, to make it so we have the right to fix our devices. So when my husband shattered the screen on his iPhone, we immediately ordered a kit from them to fix it. He said it was a terrific experience, except for one thing: not only did the kit he received have missing parts, it was obviously for the wrong phone. And he needs his phone to work! He called iFixit to try to get a replacement rushed out. He was told they didn't do that. He would have to return the kit at his own expense, and then MAYBE they'd give him a refund. Then he could order another kit (they said he ordered the wrong one, but he ordered what his iPhone said). All this might take how many weeks? It seems that iFixit is a shoestring operation and refuses to take any risks to help the customer. What a pity. They could have had a lifetime of business from us. Instead, they won't get our business, and we'll tell everyone not to bother. A kit from Amazon is faster and better, it seems."
Relpacement USB working great! Kids' tablet revived!
"Decent shipping, part as described and of good quality and packaging!"
I love it
"A bit on the expensive side, but iFixit tools are excellent to have, high quality and durable, but generally they listen to the community and keep improving their tool kits"
Tool kit did not work for this phone.
"Tool kit did not work for this phone as the screws were not the same. This screen is clearly a cheap knock off. Colors off. Caused a few errors with the sim card after installation. "
Part works great!
"Reviews and troubleshooting helped get it fone"
easy as pie
"with the instructional video, the battery replacement for my ancient 4s was simple and was completed without a hitch"
Overall good repair option
"Changed battery and connectors on iphone 6s. The step by step procedure for these 2 tasks are excellent, very good pictures and explanation, easy to follow. The tools sold along with the kit are not as good quality as I was hoping. The screwdrivers bits have a lot of play inside the handle and they are not high quality made but they worked ok. I would definitely use ifixit again in the future and now it's time to see how long their battery lasts in my phone."
"They have full instructions and the right tools linked to them. I got the genuine materials elsewhere but that was purely by choice. The instructions worked and I’m happy my iwatch screen replacement was a success! :)"
Good instructions, but still had to get a professional
"The kit had everything i needed to do the battery change....except a hair dryer and dental floss. Yes, i got to the part where you remove the adhesive strips, and that did not go as planned. They recommend using a hair dryer to warm up the glue, which i did not have. They then recommended using dental floss to dislodge the battery, but I could not get that to work. Since damaging or bending the battery can result in EXPLOSIONS and FIRE, I decided to admit defeat and not burn down the building and brought it to a professional to finish the job, which he did for $20. That was well worth the money to get it done by someone who knoes what they are doing. I wasted over 90 minutes and only got 60% of the steps done. The instructions were quite good, but it is not easy to get the battery out. My advice: buy the battery from this site and bring it to someone qualified to install it or go to a professional who sells and installs batteries. "
Love this place
"I needed to replace an iPhone 7 screen and they had the part i needed. The tools i needed, and it all got here in a short amount of time. They also have great instructions on how to repair items, and great walk through videos on there YouTube channel."
"It is a lot better then a hairdryer. Makes the job very easy. "
Fixed iPhone 6 GPS; thorough repair kit; excellent online instructions
"iFixit is awesome. Ordered a antenna flex cable for my iPhone 6. Took about a week to arrive by USPS (seems normal). Repair kit had everything I needed and was professionally packaged. The online instructions were detailed and easy to follow with plenty of pictures (although a YouTube video helped me as well). The replacement part fixed my phone and I couldn’t be happier. Only took about an hour to fix. Follow the advice I got from another reviewer: lay tape upside down on the table and place all of the screws and parts on it in the same layout as the phone. Makes reassembly a breeze."
What's Needed, How-to Repair, & Political Activism -- Great!
"I enjoyed my order from iFixit; the battery was affordable, and though shipping required ground transport, the delivery was received quickly. I have been perusing the iFixit site for years, marveling at their tear-down walk-throughs and am glad I knew of them when I was gifted a MacBook Pro (15-inch, Late 2011) with a battery malfunction. What's nice is that they have as options on the product page (a) the bare-bones item only, or (b) the product with one each of the exact tools one needs when successfully following the repair guides. I found this option ("with tools") to be helpful for me, an Apple mobile workstation devotee who only requires repair once in a while.Their stance on the "right to repair" is admirable, especially their being on the side of consumer protections and directly oppositional to Apple, Inc.'s recent moves with regard to inaccessible (sealed hardware and documentation) products, and FCC response.Only improvement would be a sealable return mailer for proper disposal of the old battery, as I have no idea what to do with this potentially ecological-harmful item."
